Hosted by Saithip  ”Chod” Montrikul Na Ayudhaya, the show “Kheuan Piset Khon Piset” features interviews with interesting people on the third Saturday of every month between 9pm and midnight. The programme has been on the air for eight years, and DJ Pee Chod decided the many interesting stories he’d heard while hosting it would make a good book.

“I’ve interviewed almost one hundred people and every one of them was fascinating. But sometimes people miss the radio programme and regret not hearing the stories. Now they can read them,” says DJ Pee Chod.

The book profiles six especially interesting people and their stories: Thitinat Na Patthalung and “The life she led before she found her “magnetic compass” ; Dungtrin, “Everything in the world has a
reason” ; Dr Sumet Tuntiwetchakul, “A life with royalty” ; Yingsak Jonglertjessadawong, “A delicious life” ; Tun Oishi, “The life of a billionaire businessman” ; and Dr Worata Watthanachayoung, “Cancer fighter”.

The second programme, “Club Friday”, is a reality radio show hosted by Napaporn “Aoy” Trivitwareegune every Friday between 11pm and 1am. Listeners phone in to talk with DJ Aoy about their love lives, usually as they relate to a specific topic of the day.

“Nothing is made up, every story is real. Sometimes the caller will be crying while talking with me,  it’s real life,” she says.

Though “Club Friday” has only been on the air for a year, it has won many fans.
Asked to explain its success, DJ Aoy answers, “Because love can happen to anyone, anywhere. That’s why the show touches people’s hearts. Some advice for readers don’t read this book in public because it might make you cry. People who think love is ridiculous should also avoid it,” she says.

Taken together, these two books can be seen as a shortcut to learning about life. “We can’t find the answers to everything in life by ourselves, but we can learn from other people’s experiences. It’s up to you to choose the answer that suit you best,” adds DJ Pee Chod.

“Kheuan Piset Khon Piset” and “Club Friday” are available now in bookstores. All profits will be donated to Phra Baht Nam Phu Temple, which cares for people living with HIV/Aids.
